Nagaon Bypoll: Officials Review Polling Station Preparations

Nagaon: The district administration reviewed preparations for the upcoming Nagaon Lok Sabha bypoll at a meeting chaired by District Election Officer and District Commissioner Aranyak Saikia. Officials said 203 sectors and 53 zonal officers have been assigned to oversee arrangements at 1,339 polling stations across five Assembly constituencies.

The officers have been directed to inspect polling stations and address gaps related to lighting, drinking water, toilets, boundary protection, road connectivity, transportation and security. Additional District Commissioners Gopal Sarma and Pallabi Gogoi, along with departmental officials and Circle Officers, attended the meeting.
