263 Grams of Heroin Seized from Truck at Jorabat

Guwahati: An East Guwahati Police District team from Basistha Police Station intercepted a Tata dumper truck at Jorabat and seized 263 grams of heroin allegedly concealed in 20 soap boxes. The vehicle was registered as AS01GC7487.

Police arrested Md Farijuddin, 29, of Moirang, Manipur, in connection with the seizure. Legal proceedings have been initiated, while further investigation is underway to determine the source and intended destination of the suspected contraband.
