Nagaon Bypoll Sees 37.82% Turnout by 11 AM

Nagaon: Laharighat recorded the highest voter turnout at 42.49% in the Nagaon Lok Sabha bypoll by 11 am on Tuesday, while overall turnout stood at 37.82%. Samaguri recorded 40.39% and Rupahihat 39.62%, with polling reported as largely peaceful.

Technical glitches in EVMs were reported at polling stations in Morigaon and Raha, causing temporary disruptions. BJP candidate Devashis Sharma and Congress candidate Sibamoni Borah also cast their votes. Polling is being held across 2,312 booths, with counting scheduled for October 9.
