Nursery Student Killed, Several Children Injured as E-Rickshaw Overturns in Barpeta

Barpeta: A nursery student, Maitri Pal, was killed after an e-rickshaw carrying schoolchildren allegedly lost control and overturned near Mandia Regional College. Maitri, a student of Mandia Oriental Jatiya Vidyalaya, was returning home with her mother when the accident occurred.
Several other children were injured and taken to Mandia Model Hospital. Those in critical condition were referred to Barpeta Medical College and Hospital for advanced treatment. Police recovered the girl’s body and sent it for a post-mortem examination.
