Tiger Sighting in Lower Dibang Valley, Safety Advisory Issued

Roing: A full-grown Royal Bengal tiger was spotted at Tiwarigaon under Roing Police Station in Arunachal Pradesh’s Lower Dibang Valley, prompting the Forest Department to deploy a team and issue a safety advisory. The sighting has revived concerns following the fatal tiger attack that killed police head constable Chikseng Manpung in February.

Authorities have prohibited two-wheelers on the Roing–Anini road between kilometres 19 and 23. Residents and commuters have been advised to avoid travelling during early mornings, evenings and nights, stay inside vehicles and refrain from entering nearby forests. The public has also been urged to report further tiger sightings immediately.
