Assam Governor Praises Indian Air Force for Safeguarding National Security

Guwahati: Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya praised the Indian Air Force for protecting the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity while attending the programme ‘Akash Se Antariksh Tak’ at the Air Force Headquarters in Borjhar on Friday. The event was organised under the Lok Bhavan initiative as part of the NaMo Matribhoomi Suraksha avam Swavalamban Sankalp Saptah.

The Governor highlighted the Air Force’s role in combat operations, disaster relief and rescue missions, while appreciating the growing contribution of women in the force. He also stressed the importance of advanced defence technologies, indigenous manufacturing under Aatmanirbhar Bharat and coordination among the three armed services, citing Operation Sindoor as an example of operational preparedness.
