Assam GST Department Conducts Overnight Searches at Bharatiya Jalpan Outlets in Guwahati

Guwahati: The Assam State GST Department conducted overnight searches on October 28 at several Bharatiya Jalpan outlets over suspected financial irregularities spanning nearly five years. Officials, accompanied by police, searched premises in Christian Basti, Fancy Bazar, Kumarpara and a factory in Amingaon.

During the operation, officials reportedly seized electronic devices and collected documents for examination. The exact nature of the suspected discrepancies remains unclear, and further investigation is underway.
