Police Confirm Drug Overdose in Teenager’s Death, Two Arrested in Shillong

Shillong: Police have confirmed that a drug overdose caused the death of a 16-year-old boy from Motinagar in March. Two individuals, identified as Ralph Nongrum and Rita Kharshiing, have been arrested following forensic analysis and further investigation.

The teenager was found unconscious near Umpling Bridge on March 31 and was declared brought dead at Bethany Hospital. Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death and the alleged involvement of the arrested individuals.
