Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma Inaugurates New Building of Williamnagar Government Higher Secondary School

Williamnagar: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma inaugurated the newly constructed building of Williamnagar Government Higher Secondary School in East Garo Hills on Thursday, October 29, marking another step towards improving educational infrastructure in the district.

Established in 2000 as the higher secondary section of Williamnagar College and provincialised in 2009, the institution has played a significant role in providing education to students in the region. The new building aims to address long-standing infrastructure challenges and provide improved learning facilities for students and teachers.

Highlighting the importance of educational development, Sangma reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to strengthening school infrastructure across Meghalaya. He emphasised the need to ensure quality education and better opportunities for children, particularly in the state’s rural and remote areas.
