AAP Releases First List of 14 Candidates for Assam Assembly Elections 2026

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced its first list of 14 candidates for the upcoming Assam Legislative Assembly Election 2026, officially beginning its campaign in the state.
The list includes candidates such as Achyut Das (Naoboicha), Pulin Gogoi (Dergaon), Jarboam Kutum (Gohpur), Anurupa Dekaraja (Central Guwahati), Ashis Hazarika (Khumtai), Tapan Gogoi (Sibsagar), Tikendra Thapa (Rongangadi), Zahidu Islam Khan (Chenga), Ranjeet Boro (Naduar), Pallav Saikia (Titabar), Jinna Amir Hussain (East Goalpara), Barun Bikas Das (Raha), Renuka Timungpi (Bokajan), and Ananta Gogoi (Biswanath).
The announcement was issued by Rajesh Sharma. Party leaders said candidates were chosen after consultations with state units, and more names are expected soon. The party led by Arvind Kejriwal aims to expand its presence in Assam as the state prepares for a multi-cornered electoral contest.
