AASU Flags LPG Shortage, Urges Govt Action Amid Price Rise

AASU adviser Dr. Samujjal Bhattacharjya has raised concerns over LPG shortages and rising fuel prices in Assam, urging both state and central governments to act immediately.
He said the gap between cylinder bookings has increased to around 25 days, with both domestic and commercial supplies affected. He also alleged black marketing and inflated prices by traders.
Blaming global supply disruptions due to the Middle East conflict, he stressed that common people are facing the worst impact and called for timely and affordable LPG availability.
