AASU Launches ‘Pratyasha’ to Train Northeast Youths for UPSC

The All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) has launched “Pratyasha,” a new initiative to help youths from the Northeast prepare for the UPSC civil services examination. Under the project, 40 candidates — including 26 from Assam and 14 from other Northeastern states — will receive coaching at Delhi-based Next IAS institute.
AASU chief adviser Samujjal Bhattacharya said applications can be submitted through the AASU website from May 1 to 15, while a selection test will be held on May 31. Coaching will begin in June.
AASU will bear the full coaching expenses and provide selected candidates a monthly stipend of Rs 12,000 during their stay in Delhi. Bhattacharya said the initiative aims to increase the number of successful UPSC candidates from Assam and the Northeast.
