Commercial LPG Price Hike Hits Guwahati Restaurants

The sharp rise in commercial LPG prices has started affecting hotels and restaurants in Guwahati, with business owners struggling to manage rising kitchen expenses.

A 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder now costs Rs 3,293, forcing many eateries to consider increasing food prices. Restaurant owners said higher fuel costs, along with rising prices of vegetables and other essentials, have severely reduced profit margins.

Smaller businesses said they are trying to absorb the additional burden for now, but warned that customers may soon face higher menu prices if the trend continues.
