After failing to sell his newborn daughter in Assam he kills her

According to police, a 35-year-old man tried to sell his 11-day-old daughter to a couple for Rs 4 lakhs but was unsuccessful, so he allegedly killed and buried the child instead.

The person has been identified as Niranjan Malakar, a local of Assam’s Bajali district’s Dubi Malipara locality. On Friday evening, his family reported him and his infant missing.

Niranjan reportedly called his brother-in-law on Saturday morning to inform him that the baby had died and revealed the location of the baby’s burial.
