AGP Confident of Double-Digit Seats in Assam Assembly Elections 2026

Atul Bora, president of Asom Gana Parishad, expressed confidence that the party will secure double-digit seats in the 2026 Assam Assembly elections, improving on its 2021 tally of nine seats.

He stated that the National Democratic Alliance could win around 90 seats overall. AGP leaders also claimed strong support from minority-dominated constituencies and positive prospects in several seats.

Vote counting is scheduled for May 4.
