AGP Intensifies Preparations for Mising and Sonowal Kachari Council Elections

Guwahati: The Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) has stepped up preparations for the Mising and Sonowal Kachari Autonomous Council elections scheduled for November 30. At a central committee meeting in Guwahati, party leaders discussed organisational strategies, grassroots mobilisation and support for NDA-backed candidates.

The meeting, attended by AGP president Atul Bora, working president Keshab Mahanta, MPs and senior party leaders, also reviewed preparations for upcoming local body elections and the appointment of Booth Level Agents. The party further decided to observe Swahid Diwas centrally in Dimoria on December 10.
