AGP to Contest RHAC Elections Independently in Select Constituencies

The Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) has decided to contest the upcoming Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council (RHAC) elections independently in 12 to 15 constituencies while supporting NDA candidates in others. The decision was finalized in a key meeting at the Boko-Chaygaon AGP office on March 10.

Senior leaders, including General Secretary Ramendra Narayan Kalita and former MLAs, attended the meeting, emphasizing the party’s strategic shift. AGP has also expressed openness to discussions with the Rabha Hasong Joint Struggle Committee to address local concerns.
