AIUDF General Secretary Resigns Following Ajmal’s Defeat in Lok Sabha Elections

AIUDF supremo Mohammed Badruddin Ajmal’s significant defeat to Congress’ Rakibul Hussain prompted the party’s general secretary and chief spokesperson, Aminul Islam, to resign on Monday. Islam, an MLA, accepted moral responsibility for the loss, which saw Ajmal, a three-time Dhubri Lok Sabha MP, defeated by over 1,000,000 votes in the recent elections.
