AIUDF Leader Aminul Islam Resigns Amid Political Shifts

AIUDF leader and Mankachar MLA Aminul Islam has resigned from the party citing personal reasons, ending a 20-year association. He submitted his resignation on March 16 after discussions with party chief Badruddin Ajmal.

The party later suspended him for six years, accusing him of anti-party activities and supporting an opposition party. His exit comes amid ongoing political changes ahead of the April 9 Assembly elections.
