AIUDF President Urges Opposition to Oppose Waqf Act Amendments

AIUDF President Badruddin Ajmal requested Rahul Gandhi and other opposition leaders to oppose the proposed bill amending the Waqf Act. Ajmal’s letter expressed concerns that the amendments aim to reduce the power of Waqf Boards and Waqf Council, altering the status of Waqf properties. He warned that these changes could lead to land disputes and interfere with the Muslim community’s religious and charitable activities. Ajmal called for united opposition both inside and outside Parliament.
