AIUDF Urges Assam State Election Commission for Fairer Delimitation Process

The All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF), led by Mankachar MLA Aminul Islam, met with the Assam State Election Commission (SEC) to discuss concerns over the delimitation of Gaon Panchayat and Zila Parishad areas. They submitted a memorandum demanding a revaluation of constituency boundaries to ensure equitable voter distribution, involvement of local stakeholders, and a transparent delimitation process. The AIUDF highlighted significant voter distribution discrepancies due to the current delimitation, which they argue contradicts the democratic principle of “One person one vote” and could lead to administrative challenges.
