Ajmal Claims 2026 Assam Polls Will Shift Power, Slams BJP and Congress

AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal accused both the BJP and Congress of exploiting minority voters, claiming the two parties have an informal understanding to divide constituencies. He criticised Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for targeting Muslims and warned that such rhetoric would not affect ground realities. Ajmal urged Muslims not to vote for the BJP and alleged the Congress was also misleading minority voters. Predicting a major political shift, he said minority communities would play a decisive role in changing Assam’s government in the 2026 Assembly elections.
