AJP Eyes 40 Seats, Open to Alliance for 2026 Assam Polls

Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) is targeting 40 Assembly seats for the 2026 elections and is open to forming alliances with non-NDA parties. Party spokesperson Ziaur Rahman said talks are ongoing but no formal pact has been finalized yet. AJP is also planning to contest five seats in the upcoming BTC polls.
