AJP Flags Bangladesh Unrest, Warns of Minority Persecution and Infiltration Risk

The Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) has expressed concern over recent developments in Bangladesh, citing persecution of Hindu minorities and the potential risk of infiltration into Assam.

AJP president Lurinjyoti Gogoi and general secretary Jagadish Bhuyan said rising religious fanaticism could severely impact India, especially Assam. They urged the Centre to raise the issue at international forums, exert diplomatic pressure, tighten border surveillance, and prevent misuse of citizenship provisions. The party also called on the people of Assam to remain vigilant.
