AJYCP Demands New BOPs, Commandos on Assam-Nagaland Border

AJYCP’s Jorhat unit has urged the Assam government to set up new Border Outposts and deploy commandos along the Assam-Nagaland border to curb land encroachment. In a memorandum sent to the Chief Minister, the body demanded eviction of encroachers from reserve forests near Mariani, intensified patrolling, and removal of Nagaland’s Chutaphala checkgate. A team will visit the border on July 9 to assess the situation.
