Akhil Gogoi Demands CBI Probe into Zubeen Garg’s Death
Raijor Dal President Akhil Gogoi criticized Shyamkanu Mahanta, the prime accused in Zubeen Garg’s death, for his recent social media statement pledging cooperation with the investigation. Gogoi called it “arrogant” and “troubling” and demanded a CBI probe and immediate arrests, including Mahanta’s associate Siddharth Sharma. Zubeen Garg, 52, died under suspicious circumstances in Singapore on September 19. The SIT is investigating Mahanta’s links with Garg, but public skepticism remains high.
