Akhil Gogoi Hints Raijor Dal May Contest 2026 Polls Alone

Akhil Gogoi, president of Raijor Dal, has indicated that his party may contest the 2026 Assam Assembly elections independently after alliance talks with the Indian National Congress failed to progress.

Gogoi expressed disappointment that his party was not invited to a recent opposition meeting and called the situation insulting. However, he said the door for an alliance is still open and added that the decision now depends on the Congress leadership.
