Alleged Cattle Smuggler Injured in Police Encounter at India-Bangladesh Border

Sirajul Haque, an alleged cattle smuggler, was shot in the leg during a police encounter in Dhubri District near the India-Bangladesh border. The incident occurred in West Gaikhwa when Haque, known for cattle smuggling, attacked officers during spot verification. In response, the Golakganj police opened fire, injuring Haque. He is currently receiving medical treatment under police custody at Dhubri Medical College and Hospital.
