Amit Shah Rallies Support for BJP in Assam’s Sonitpur

Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed an election rally in Sonitpur, urging voters to support BJP candidate Ashok Singhal in the upcoming Assembly polls.
Apologising for his delayed arrival due to bad weather, Shah appealed for a strong mandate for the BJP-led NDA, emphasizing peace, development, and stability in Assam.
He claimed insurgency had declined under BJP rule and promised stricter action against illegal infiltration, including reclaiming encroached land. Shah said more time was needed to fully resolve the issue.
Targeting Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Gaurav Gogoi, he accused them of opposing measures to curb infiltration.
Highlighting development, Shah cited welfare schemes, improved healthcare, and infrastructure projects, stating that Assam’s progress has accelerated under BJP governance and would continue with public support.
