Anti-CAA Committee Rejects NRC Tampering Claims by Hitesh Dev Sarma

The Co-ordination Committee Against CAA, Assam, dismissed former NRC coordinator Hitesh Dev Sarma’s claim that the NRC includes lakhs of foreigners. Terming his statement “politically motivated,” the committee accused him of trying to discredit a Supreme Court-monitored process. They alleged his conclusions were based on a limited sample and driven by a pro-government agenda. The committee urged the Centre to adopt the NRC and end the ongoing controversy.
