Anti-Romeo Squad Reactivated in Cachar for Durga Puja

Cachar police have reactivated the Anti-Romeo Squad to curb eve-teasing and petty crimes during Durga Puja. SSP Numal Mahatta said a 50-member trained team will operate as mobile units from Thursday, focusing on women and children’s safety. Patrolling has been intensified, and a traffic plan enforced to ensure smooth movement. Constant vigil will be maintained across Silchar and other areas of the district.
