APCC Demands Apology from CM Sarma Over ‘Insulting’ Remark on Women

The Assam Congress has given CM Himanta Biswa Sarma 24 hours to apologise for claiming women “compromised their dignity” to get jobs under Congress rule. APCC president Bhupen Borah called the remark false and insulting. Legal action is being considered if no apology is made. Mahila Congress leaders also condemned the CM’s comments, calling them politically motivated and shameful.
