APCC Executive Member Dilip Baruah Resigns from Congress Ahead of Polls

Former Biswanath district Congress president and APCC executive member Dilip Baruah on Wednesday resigned from the party ahead of the Assembly elections. Announcing his decision at a press conference, Baruah said the Congress has declined under APCC president Gaurav Gogoi’s leadership and alleged there is no conducive environment to work. He also criticised the party’s ticket decisions and said he has not yet decided his next political move. His resignation follows recent exits by other Congress leaders amid growing internal dissent.
