APDCL Drafts SOP for New Power Connections via Smart Meters

APDCL has prepared a draft SOP to provide new household electricity connections with smart prepaid meters under RDSS until its new mobile app is launched. Turnkey contractors will handle service cables and data collection, while AMISPs will install meters. Verified data will be uploaded to APDCL’s system before connections are released. The arrangement is temporary until the app becomes functional.
