APDCL Employees Caught Accepting Bribe in Nagaon
In Nagaon, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption officials apprehended two Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) employees, Mintu Bora and Bhaskar Jyoti Sarma, for allegedly accepting a bribe. Bora, a contractual employee, was caught receiving Rs. 7,000 from a consumer seeking relief from a fine related to an electricity bypass connection. Sarma, identified as a Meter Reader, was arrested based on Bora’s allegations of his involvement. Investigations into the bribery case are ongoing.
