Around 60 Fall Ill After Feast, Suspected Food Poisoning in Dhemaji

Dibrugarh: Around 60 people, including women and children, were admitted to Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) after a suspected food poisoning incident linked to a Nam-Kirtan feast held in Dhemaji’s Jonai on June 30. The affected guests reportedly developed vomiting, diarrhoea and severe abdominal pain two days after the event. Doctors are monitoring the patients, while an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the illness.
