Artificial Flooding Triggers Public Outrage in Margherita Constituency

Margherita, Assam: Heavy overnight rainfall triggered severe artificial flooding across Ledo, Bargolai and Margherita, disrupting normal life and submerging roads, homes and businesses. Residents blamed poor drainage infrastructure and alleged administrative neglect, accusing local MLA Bhaskar Sharma of failing to provide a permanent solution. The Assam Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad warned of launching a mass agitation if effective measures are not taken to address the recurring waterlogging problem.
