ASPTA Urges Govt to Reconsider Single-Colour Uniform Rule

The Assam State Primary Teachers’ Association (ASPTA) has asked the Education Minister to review the directive mandating a single uniform colour across all schools. In a letter, the association argued that School Management Committees should decide uniform colours to suit local needs and avoid issues for students transferring between schools. While welcoming the government’s free uniform initiative, ASPTA said decentralised decisions would ensure practicality and relevance.
