Assam Announces State Teachers’ Award 2026 for 15 Educators

Guwahati: Fifteen teachers from across Assam have been selected for the State Teachers’ Award 2026 for their dedication to education, innovative teaching methods, contributions to students and schools, and community service. Education Minister Ranoj Pegu congratulated the awardees, saying the selection was based on a rigorous merit-based assessment.

The awards will be presented on Teachers’ Day, September 5, 2026, at Sri Sri Damodardeva International Auditorium, Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra, Panjabari, Guwahati. The selected educators include principals, post graduate teachers, assistant teachers, head teachers and a headmaster from different districts of the state.
