Assam BJP Condemns Violence in Shillong, Seeks Safety for Tourists

Guwahati: The Assam BJP on Thursday condemned the reported violence during a Khasi Students’ Union protest in Shillong and urged the Meghalaya Government to ensure the safety of tourists and taxi drivers from Assam. BJP media panellist Ashish Bharali demanded action against those responsible and raised concerns over alleged attacks on Assam vehicles.

The party appealed to both state governments to take immediate steps to prevent further incidents and maintain peace between the neighbouring states. BJP spokesperson Kamal Kumar Medhi was also present at the press conference.
