Assam Budget to Focus on Poor, Middle Class, and Youth: CM Sarma

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that the upcoming state budget, to be presented on March 10, will introduce policies benefiting the poor, middle class, and youth. Aligning with the Union Budget, it will include tax relief and infrastructure projects to drive growth. Sarma emphasized skill development for youth, moving them towards Industry 4.0 jobs instead of violence. He also highlighted plans to boost employment and reverse migration. The budget will complement the increased ₹5,915 crore allocation for the Northeastern region.
