Assam CM Calls for National-Level NRC to Tackle Illegal Migration

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma urged for a national-level National Register of Citizens (NRC) to address the issue of illegal migrants, which he says has become a nationwide problem. He emphasized the need for Parliament to discuss the matter and called for 20% of Assam’s NRC names to be re-verified for accuracy.
