Assam CM Discusses ₹1 Lakh Crore Infrastructure Plans with PM Modi

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma discussed ₹1 lakh crore worth of infrastructure projects with PM Modi during his Delhi visit. Key proposals include a ₹25,000 crore express highway connecting Guwahati, Barapani, and Silchar, enabling same-day round trips.

Other projects include expanding Bongaigaon Refinery, upgrading Namrup Fertiliser Plant, and building the Guwahati Ring Road and Narengi-Kurua bridge. PM Modi may lay foundation stones before February’s Investment Summit.

Plans also feature Kaziranga Elevated Corridor, Numaligarh-Gohpur tunnel, a Morigaon-Darrang bridge, two satellite cities in Guwahati, and a rail link to Bhutan. Sarma expressed optimism about milestone achievements by February 25.
