Assam CM Launches Digital Portal for Mutual Transfers of State Employees

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced a new digital portal, launching on October 2, to streamline mutual transfer applications for Grade III-IV state government employees. The portal will operate 24×7, allowing online applications and digital approvals, eliminating the need for hard copies. During the announcement, Sarma also distributed appointment letters to 1,127 new recruits as part of the state’s ongoing campaign to provide 1,00,000 government jobs. With 99,097 youth already employed, the state aims to exceed its goal by September and extend it to 1.5 lakh jobs.
