Assam CM Pledges Road Repairs in Barak Valley Before Durga Puja

During a three-day visit to Barak Valley, Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma addressed concerns over poor road conditions, promising repairs before Durga Puja. He criticized the superficial fixes done ahead of his visit and emphasized the need for quality work. Dr. Sarma also performed the Bhumi Pujan for a new Government Model College in Cachar district, with a ₹35 crore allocation. Additionally, he laid the foundation for an RCC bridge over the Barak River, a project expected to enhance connectivity and economic development in the region.
