Assam CM Sarma Demands Probe into Deaths During Jharkhand Police Recruitment Tests

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has criticized the Jharkhand government following reports of several deaths during police recruitment fitness tests. Sarma called for the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) to investigate and demanded Rs 50 lakh compensation for each victim’s family. He condemned the tests’ timing, citing extreme heat and poor provisions for candidates, and urged Jharkhand’s Chief Minister to postpone the exams until after September 15, ensuring better conditions and proper medical checks for participants.
