Assam CM Sarma Praises BTC for Peace Ahead of By-Elections

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, during a campaign rally in Sidli, praised the people of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) for transforming the region into a peaceful area. He described bringing peace to BTC as one of his biggest achievements. Sarma also highlighted the reduction in corruption and insurgent activities during his tenure. Criticizing the previous Congress government, he accused them of financial misconduct. His visit supported UPPL candidate Nirmal Kumar Brahma for the upcoming November 13 by-elections. The Sidli by-poll will witness a three-way contest between Congress, UPPL, and BPF.
