Assam CM Warns of Rising Drug Smuggling Using Drones; Schools Intensify Awareness Drive

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said drug trafficking in the Northeast has risen sharply, with smugglers now using drones to deliver narcotics. He stressed the need for awareness among students. Schools across Assam, including Nahorbari M V School in Golaghat, held Children’s Day anti-drug campaigns with posters, discussions and activities. Officials said such awareness drives will continue to protect students from addiction.
