Assam Congress Plans ‘Vote Rakshaks’ to Monitor Electoral Rolls

Guwahati: The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee announced plans to appoint ‘Vote Rakshaks’ at all 31,486 polling booths and 669 municipal wards to monitor electoral rolls and prevent the exclusion of eligible voters.

Addressing a press conference, Congress leaders questioned the Election Commission’s revision process and urged eligible citizens to enrol using Form 6. The party said its ‘Vote Bachao, Desh Bachao’ campaign was continuing across Assam’s 35 districts and 301 blocks.
