Assam Congress Pushes Grassroots Outreach for 2026 Manifesto

The Assam Congress has intensified preparations for the 2026 Assembly elections by launching a statewide outreach to draft a people-driven manifesto through public feedback under the campaign “Raijor Padulit Raijor Congress”.
On Monday, APCC president Gaurav Gogoi led interactions in Charaideo district, while Congress MP Rakibul Hussain conducted outreach in Bongaigaon district. The campaign is also expanding to other districts.
Election Manifesto Committee chairman Pradyut Bordoloi said the manifesto would reflect grassroots voices rather than top-down decisions. The final phase of the campaign will be held in Guwahati on January 10 and 11, with the party claiming engagement with over 1,000 organisations statewide.
